Stan Lee is notorious for making a cameo in movies and television series based off his written works. With that in mind, where would the author of this novel make an appearance in a visual adaptation of the book?
In a scene that altered the way the author thought of Daisy, completely changing his viewpoint of the woman, she is located in a public area eating a meal. It is there that people from all throughout the facility can gain access to food and socialize. He looks up from what he is doing to see Naia walk past him as she approaches Daisy to begin their scene from the book. He smiles before resuming reading a novel by Isaac Asimov featuring the three laws of robotics.
